WHO WE ARE
Handfastings.com - Your Source for Handfastings and Pagan Weddings - aims to be a comprehensive resource for all who seek a unique experience for their special day.
Founded in 2004 as Handfastings.org by Shira G. Tarantino, our organization became the first of its kind publication dedicated to linking ordained officiants who perform handfastings, wedding ceremonies and other rites of passage and celebrations with people in the Pagan and Wiccan communities.
Our first printed publication, aptly named Handfastings Magazine, was a meager 8 pages in length, hand stapled, and packed with information on handfasting lore, rites of passage, and nature-inspired weddings.
By 2007, Handfastings expanded into multiple countries connecting people to hundreds of officiants and celebrants, and demand for services and resources grew exponentially.
Handfastings Magazine now encompasses a broad array of information about handfastings, dedicated to unique ceremonies, rites and rituals of love. The publication's online counterparts are Handfastings.org and Handfastings.com.
Handfastings Media and Publications oversees a variety of media, most notably Handfastings.org, Handfastings Magazine, and Handfastings.com. Simply put, we are Handfastings!
